I just finished DH. It's way past my bedtime, but I desperately want to spend the rest of the wee hours reading Fandom Wank. See, as much as I enjoyed the book, I can't shake the sense that the real fun will come from the explosively batshit Internet fallout. Fandom has broken me.

Anyway, scattered thoughts:

A fan music video celebrating the underaged magic of Harry/Draco with the dulcet tones of "Eternal Flame" would be funny if it were a joke. That it is apparently in earnest makes it hilarious.

Harry James Potter, what in seven hells and a pennywhistle have you done to your hair?

Gamer is tired of hearing claims that Harry Potter and Dungeons & Dragons teach children how to cast real magic spells, so gamer attempts to cast spells from HP and D&D using a variety of household goods.

I should be asleep now, but I kinda want to stay up all night trying to craft a portable hole from a mateless sock.

I spent three hours today washing and trimming my grandparents' dog, who was one giant mass of dirty, matted fur. He can see where he's going now, and his forelegs are scarcely half as thick as they were this morning. My only regret is that I lacked both my tablet and Internet access while creating this, so the sprite work was tedious and the font is not a match for the one used in the original game. Today was my last day at Okoppe. That makes me sad, so we're not going to talk about that. We're going to go through my wild ramblings regarding HBP.

Just finished HBP, despite full day of school and evening conversation class.

Want to make long, explosively spoilertastic (but lj-cut! And cleared labeled!) post about it, but am tired and in need of sleep before dealing with the ADSL people (again) tomorrow.

Am leaving Oma in less than a week ACK.

I can't get new Harry Potter goodness until I'm back in the States, unless I can somehow snag a copy in Tokyo or at the airport. Woe. Everyone, read a page of your copy aloud for me, and I will hear it in my heart.
